Unbowed Nancy does not fear dismissal yet supporters show anger following loss.
Wilfried Nancy declared he did not fear the sack, claiming, “The team is very near to things turning around,” despite moving dangerously close to being fired with a heavy setback against their arch-rivals.
Another Collapse Leads to Old Firm Defeat
Celtic were in front their oldest rivals at the interval but a disastrous second period let the Gers to draw level on points with the current Scottish Premiership champions. The former MLS manager, who was brought in from the MLS, has now overseen six defeats in his last eight matches.

Pressed on the speculation, Nancy replied: “It’s not on my mind. My focus is on discovering solutions to help my team to be good on the fine details.
Supporters' Anger On Display

“The outcomes [that leads to pressure]. So this is the situation for the moment. But by saying that’s how it is, I am not saying that I am giving up. Absolutely not. My point is we are really close, really, really close to reverse our form.”
Focus on the Details
Nancy remains focused on the fact Celtic can perform strongly for a half at a time. In fact, but for poor finishing they could have been more than 1-0 up. “There were positives aside from the fact that we didn't take a second goal,” he said. “I know that we lost, but it's important to stay objective.
“The standard we had at times was exceptionally high. That is a fact. And I would not say that if it was untrue. Therefore, when it comes to wins, I said we've seen this before. For that reason I believe a change is coming to a shift in fortunes. But for the moment: details, details, details.”
“There were many, many good things that we did, once more. But now is performing for 90 minutes. My outlook would be different if it was not the case. That’s why I firmly believe we will manage to turn things around.”
The Rangers Boss Stance
Rangers manager refused to contemplate a championship push even after what felt like a huge result. “We take it game by game, and we can develop momentum,” he said. “The belief in the group is outstanding.”
