Vince Zampella, Dies in a California Traffic Collision
The visionary game developer, the mind behind the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.
His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The influential video game developer lost his life when his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, according to.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with his family and friends, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts said.
